SAP Basis Administrators are responsible for the management and support of the SAP production environment. They provide technical support for the enterprise business landscape to help keep SAP systems running efficiently.

SAP Basis Administrators are responsible for the optimal performance and uptime of business-critical SAP systems and databases across the entire enterprise. They provide technical support for the enterprise business landscape including implementing, configuring, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting the SAP technical environment as well as scheduling and executing the SAP transport system.

SAP BASIS RESPONSIBILITIES

As a future SAP BASIS Developer, your responsibilities may include exciting things like:

  • SAP landscape design such as environment installs, system copies, performance monitoring and tuning, transports and upgrades.
  • Implement and maintain the multiple SAP instances that comprise the SAP environment (development, test, training and production).
  • Install and configure all required SAP database servers and application servers.
  • Perform SAP client administration (create client, copy client, delete client, export/import client) as required.
  • Create and maintain SAP users, authorizations, roles and profiles.
  • Resolve security issues and provide support in integration testing of roles and profiles.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation for all SAP instances and interfaces.
